Strato Terms of Service

Welcome to Strato (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Strato web platform, available at https://app.strato.so (the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using Strato, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Strato provides AI-assisted tools for aircraft design, simulation, and analysis, including geometry generation, aerodynamic estimation, and related design features. The Service is provided as-is and may evolve over time as we improve features and performance.

2. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete information during registration and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscription and Billing

Strato offers paid subscription plans. Payments are processed securely by our authorized Merchant of Record (currently Paddle.com). All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated.

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance (monthly or annually).
  • Your plan renews automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your account dashboard.
  • By subscribing, you authorize Strato (via Paddle) to charge your payment method for recurring payments.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all subscription purchases. If you are not satisfied with Strato within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase, you may request a full refund by contacting us at support@strato.so.

Important notes:

  • The 14-day guarantee applies only to your first subscription purchase.
  • Refunds for subscription renewals are not eligible for the 14-day guarantee.
  • Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.
  • Refunds are processed within 2-3 business days and may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.

5. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, text, graphics, and AI-generated assets provided by Strato are owned or licensed by us. You retain full rights to the aircraft designs you create, but Strato retains all rights to the platform and algorithms used to generate them.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or resell the Service.
  • Use Strato-generated outputs to train competing AI models.
  • Infringe on third-party intellectual property when using the Service.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated outputs as human-created content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Strato for:

  • Any illegal, harmful, or deceptive purpose;
  • Generating designs that violate export control laws or aviation safety regulations;
  • Attempting to interfere with system security, servers, or APIs.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

7. Data and Privacy

We collect and process data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described there. Your designs may be temporarily cached for computation and analysis but are not shared publicly without your consent.

8. Service Availability and Updates

Strato is a cloud-based system and may experience downtime for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen issues. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms if such failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, cyber-attacks, or government actions (each a “Force Majeure Event”).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Strato makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any generated design. Use of the Service for real-world aircraft design is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strato shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of profits, data, or business opportunity; or damages arising from use or inability to use the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Strato, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in misuse. You may cancel your subscription anytime, but payments already processed are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Delaware, USA, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, unless otherwise required by applicable law. The prevailing party in any dispute shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email to the address associated with your account or through a notice on the Service at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Payment Notice (Paddle)

Payments for Strato are securely processed by Paddle.com, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles order-related inquiries and provides invoices reflecting local taxes where applicable.

If there is any inconsistency between the English version and translations, the English version controls.
